Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from the entire AMT family to you and your family!  This year was a very special one for AMT as it marked 20 years of hard work, innovation, and sincere service in the production of touch solutions. We would like to thank all of our partners who were able to come celebrate with us and we look forward to another 20 years of friendship and prosperity!

On August 3, 2018, AMT celebrated 20 years of success and partnership with customers, suppliers, stakeholders, and staff at AMT corporate headquarters in Keelung, Taiwan.  This event mixed traditional local culture with a workshop and product demonstrations. AMT’s mission, vision, current technology, and future innovation were on full display and the celebration was praised by attendees as a resounding success.

AMT introduced three new product series in 2018.  The first was our Single Part No. Solution which provides customers with touch panel, LCD, and bonding service all under one part number, simplifying customers supply chains and making ordering much more convenient.  Optical bonding was also added as an option to enhance the characteristics of the entire touch module.

Second, with the introduction of PhotoReal Décor Glass, AMT became the only touch manufacturer able to print full color gradients on thin touch panel cover glass.  This was a significant breakthrough in digital printing technology. The PhotoReal printing process can output one million colors in industrial specification ink and has passed adhesion cross-cut testing, immersion testing in numerous corrosive materials and solvents, and UV testing.

Third, our projected capacitive (PCAP) touch panels can now be equipped with Virtual Keys for convenient command execution which pairs amazingly with PhotoReal Décor Glass.  Virtual Keys share the touch panel’s PCAP circuit and delivers one touch command execution from anywhere on the panel periphery without the need to embed mechanical membrane switches. This feature enhances design flexibility and all buttons are defined by software on the users’ side.

Fulfilling corporate social responsibility is an important part of AMT’s core philosophy.  We continue to focus on the disadvantaged groups in society and provide the care and assistance they need.  This year, we donated to a total of 75 schools and 15 charitable organizations, helping more than 800 students receive educational financial aid emergency assistance.  AMT contributes long-term to the physical education and national tournament participation of remote rural school children at Ma-jia Junior High School, Wutang Elementary School, and Meilun Junior High School.  These schools continue to perform in excellent fashion this year.  It is worth mentioning that Meilun Junior High School participated in the 2018 National Youth Cup Soccor Championship and won first place from among 28 participating schools.
