EPaper Features And Challenges

An ePaper display is highly legible, thin, light, and, most importantly, it has ultra-low power consumption (it only consumes electricity when the image display changes). ePaper displays are better suited for static image displays due to their slower response time during image transitions. ePaper is widely used in smart city technologies, public information boards, or electronic billboards. The glass substrate used in ePaper displays is relatively thin; more advanced optical bonding technology is required to prevent glass breakage during the process of optical bonding manufacturing.

This bonding technology, combined with our renowned capability in bonding fixture development, can prevent stress-induced Mura. Additionally, you can add a front light guide to ensure clear visibility of the ePaper display in dark environments. In terms of ePaper display options, we offer bonding for both black and white or color ePaper displays, ranging in sizes from small to 32 inches.

Anti-UV And Other Value-Added Features

For ePaper displays placed outdoors, the anti-UV feature is crucial. Without the anti-UV feature, ePaper displays may experience yellowing or cracking. AMT offers ePaper solutions with anti-UV that meet testing standards, such as ASTM G154 Cycle 1 – 1,000 hours and MIL-STD-810H Pro 1 – 1,000 hours, to effectively prevent damage from UV rays.
