This month, AMT will launch a Touch Display Solution as an extension of our existing total touch solution line of products and to expand the value of AMT service.  AMT’s Touch Display Solution is a new touch solution product that pairs an AMT projected capacitive (PCAP) touch panel with an industrial grade LCD panel tailored to the specific requirements of industrial, medical, and outdoor applications.

The first Touch Display Solutions available will be AMT (I)ndustrial Series products. Both the standard 7” and 10.1” AMT I series Touch Display Solution will utilize an AMT PCAP touch panel and PenMount PCAP touch controller combination either air bonded or optically bonded to a premium industrial grade LCD panel.  AMT’s extensive design experience and dedication to quality ensure these units meet the high standards and long term supply requirements of the industrial sector.

The AMT Touch Display Solution advantage resides in our rigorous control of parts and process.  The lamination and tuning processes are performed in-house to AMT’s strict quality standards, producing a superior touch control experience.  It is our goal to support our customers through this integrated product, so they will not have to procure LCDs and PCAP panels separately, as in the past.  With this support, customers can obtain a complete Touch Display with high noise immunity and the ability to mitigate noise interference originating from the LCD.  Previously, only after adjustment of PCAP parameters to optimize performance according to each LCD, can customers proceed with subsequent verification and development processes.  Now, we offer customers a more efficient way accomplish this through our Touch Displays products.

The PCAP touch panel operation of AMT I Series Touch Displays considers various environmental factors and is designed to meet standards such as EN60601 for medical devices and UV G154 500hrs and provide powerful functionality through PenMount hardware and software. Features such as ESD, EMI, and EFT resistance are already included with the fully tuned LCD noise handling mechanism.

AMT Touch Displays possess the following specifications:

• A maximum brightness of 500 nits
• 1024 X 600 resolution
• LVDS interface
• Wide viewing angle
• -20°C to 70°C operating temperature
