The Lunar New Year comes to an end this weekend and AMT held its annual year-end banquet on Saturday, January 23 at Le Jardin in Keelung. In addition to celebrating and recognizing the hard work management and staff contributed to the success of the company, this was also an opportunity to thank our vendors and partners for their support as we look forward to continued and mutual growth in the New Year.

As always, AMT’s year-end banquet was held with great excitement and not only included dinner but also excellent entertainment prepared by employees and, of course, the much anticipated raffle. This year, attendees numbered close to 600 and we not only invited staff and shareholders but also vendors, customers, and financial partners to join in the festivities. In addition, Vice President and CEO of our U.S. subsidiary AMTouch USA, Mr. Kevin Brown, and his wife graciously traveled from the U.S. to Taiwan to attend our celebration. AMT also presented Mr. Kevin Brown with an outstanding contribution certificate for his many years of service to the company.

Every year, we will honor employees of the year and new employees of the year, with those employed for more than one year eligible for the Employee of the Year award and those employed for less than one year eligible for the Excellent New Employee Award. Direct and indirect staff are awarded separately for a total of 4 prizes. Competition was fierce this year with the Employee of the Year awards going to the Equipment Maintenance Section’s James Chang and the Etching and Printing Center’s Chang Chiawei. Excellent New Employee Awards went to the Administration Department’s Greg Lin and the Inspection and Testing Center’s Chen Shufang. Their excellent work and responsible attitude won praise from all their colleagues. We also celebrated senior staff who have worked at AMT for 5, 10, and 15 years to thank them for their important contributions.

All AMT year-end banquet performances are planned and designed by each respective company department. This year, the top three teams performed brilliantly with first place going to the R & D Division’s uniform drumming and cup dance. Second place was won by the Etching and Printing Center’s Navy sailor choreography and third place went to an assorted Cosplay performance delivered by the Sales & Marketing Department and the Office of the President. Of special note was AMT’s newly established cappella club who performed A-mei’s (a renowned Asian singer) “Holding Hands” which offered attendees a new listening experience and linked their hearts.

Chinese New Year is fast approaching and we will soon welcome an energetic Year of the Monkey. AMT will be closed nine days from February 6 to February 14 for the Chinese New Year holiday. AMT management and staff wish you good luck and prosperity in the New Year. See you in the Year of the Monkey!
