Excellent Touch Performance

PenMount K1 series PCAP controllers can support 10 finger operations, and the sample rate per finger can reach 110 points or higher.  The high sample rate brings good touch drawing experience, and system can correctly recognize touch gestures. If customers want to develop their own gesture applications, they don’t have to worry that the increase in the number of touch points will slow down the sample rate.

Utility Support

For customers’ convenience, we modularize some functions of PenMount K1 series controllers to simplify the complexity of parameter adjustments.  Customers can perform electrical diagnosis, and to adjust sensitivity, touch points, touch direction through the friendly user interface of PenMount PCIUtility.

Water Handling

When there is mist of water on the surface of the touch screen, the PenMount K1 series PCAP controller can draw a line or click with a single finger.  Since water is a good conductor, too much water on the surface of the touch screen or a larger area covered by the water will make the PCAP product unable to recognize the finger signal correctly.  In terms of mechanism design, please try to place the device upright or tilted so that water will not stay on the touch surface.

Support Mouse Device

Many older operating systems do not recognize the digitizer device.  When PCAP controllers are used in operating systems such as Windows XP, PenMount K1 series PCAP controllers can be emulated as a mouse device by firmware.  Customers does not need to install additional device drivers; the HID device driver can support touch operations and can emulate right mouse button click with press and hold.

Support Special OS

The PenMount team is capable of supporting the development of special application software or operating system.  When customers use PenMount K1 series PCAP controllers and have special requirements, PenMount will conduct an evaluation and provide customers with corresponding sample codes for customers to reference and develop touch support in their systems.
