Improved Anti-Noise Ability

We have added two functions, Double ADC Average and Frequency Hopping Tuning. ADC (Analog-to-Digital Converter) functions as a touch controller to convert analog signals into digital signals. When noise interferes, it may cause incorrect values in the signal conversion. The function of Double ADC Average is to use software to increase the number of ADC calculations and then take the average value to eliminate noise and maintain normal touch operation. It is suitable for industrial applications with high noise interference. Different LCD panels or environments have specific interference or radiation, and these interferences may cause false touch. Frequency Hopping Tuning can read out the frequency band of noise interference, allowing customers to adjust the most suitable working frequency band to show the best touch performance.

Quick Switching Of Operating Modes

With the introduction of new firmware versions, there are more different firmware parameters. To bypass complicated setting procedures, AMT invented a lucid setting system, it is called: Quick Select. This function is compatible with V6.3.0 firmware for the best results. Quick Select has 5 modes, namely:

1. Fast Drawing Mode
2. Anti-Noise Mode
3. Waterproof Mode
4. Thick Glove Mode
5. Frame Mode: For products with front bezel design.  It strengthens signal processing in edge areas for users.

Resolve The Issue More Effectively

If noise interference causes false touch, users only need to execute or stop the anti-noise parameters of PenMount PCIUtility, and the touch function can usually be restored to normal operation. If the problem still occurs after adjustment, since the user cannot know the type of noise, an oscilloscope is required to measure its type. At this time, we recommend that you execute Log Current Device Information. PenMount newly added the AD data of the interference frequency band. We can know the interference signal frequency band of the environment to the PCAP through the new Log content, and can quickly analyze the interference frequency to help you resolve the issue.
